Questions merchants ask
What counts as one merge?
One merge joins two profiles into one customer. A group of 5 profiles uses 4 merges, even though you confirm it once.
How many contact fixes do I get?
Each plan gets one contact fix for every 5 merges, so Starter’s 150 merges come with 30 fixes. Undoing a fix uses 1 fix.
Does my allowance reset?
Monthly plans get a new allowance every month. Yearly plans get the whole year’s allowance at the start of the year: 1,800 merges on Starter, 3,600 on Growth and 6,000 on Scale. Unused merges don’t carry over to the next billing period. The Free plan’s 25 merges are a one-time allowance and don’t reset.
What happens when I run out of merges?
MergeGuard alerts you when 80% of your allowance is used and again when none is left. Automatic work stops before your allowance runs out.
Which plans include automatic merging?
Growth, Scale and Enterprise. Automatic contact fixes, for domain typos only, are on Scale and Enterprise.
What happens when I downgrade or cancel?
A downgrade applies at the end of the billing cycle, when Shopify applies it. A cancel or freeze made outside the app can take up to a day to apply. Merges you already made stay, because Shopify merges are permanent.
Can I get a refund?
We don’t offer refunds. When you cancel in Shopify, your plan stops renewing and stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
What does Enterprise include?
Enterprise has a custom merge allowance, unlimited audience list exports, unlimited Klaviyo syncs and unlimited lists kept in sync. Contact fixes and audiences are everything in Scale, or more. Write to hello@mergeguard.store to talk about your store.
