Strong match
A MergeGuard duplicate group whose details match closely. Groups where some details differ sit under Needs your judgment, where you decide.

Every duplicate group in MergeGuard for Shopify shows its evidence under “Why we think it’s one person”, with the name, email, phone and address of each profile side by side. MergeGuard then sorts open groups into two views:
- Strong: details match closely.
- Needs your judgment: some details differ, so you decide.
The New view shows groups found since your last visit, and All open shows every open group.
Strong matches are the groups automatic merging starts with, and it stays off until you switch it on. Groups that need your judgment merge automatically only if you add them, and the app warns that those groups can be different people. Help explains the settings.
