How your merge allowance works

One merge removes one duplicate profile by joining two profiles into one customer. Counts as profiles − 1 merges: a group of 4 uses 3 merges Monthly plans get a new allowance every month, yearly plans get the whole year’s merges at the start, and unused merges don’t carry over.

At a glance

  1. Count the merges a group needs

    1 merge = 2 profiles merged into one (a group of 5 = 4 merges)

  2. Know when your allowance arrives

Monthly plans get a new allowance every month. Yearly plans get the whole year’s allowance at the start of the year.

  3. Watch for the alerts

MergeGuard alerts you at 80% of your allowance used and again when none is left.

  4. Count contact fixes separately

merges ÷ 5 (rounded down); an undo uses 1 fix

What one merge is

One merge joins two profiles into one customer, so it removes one duplicate profile. A whole duplicate group (e.g. 4 profiles) merges into one customer with a single confirmation. Counts as profiles − 1 merges: a group of 4 uses 3 merges

The merge button names the profiles, for example “Merge 3 profiles”.

When the allowance arrives

Monthly plans get a new allowance every month. Yearly plans get the whole year’s allowance at the start of the year. Unused merges don’t carry over to the next billing period. The Free plan’s merges are a one-time allowance and don’t reset.

Alerts and automatic merging

MergeGuard alerts you when 80% of your allowance is used and again when none is left. Automatic work stops before your allowance runs out. If you do run out, see what to do when you run out of merges.

Contact fixes

merges ÷ 5 (rounded down); an undo uses 1 fix The free trial has its own smaller allowance.
